뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | 우리은행(은행장·정진완)은 외국인 관광객을 위한 맞춤형 금융 서비스를 제공하기 위해 외국인 관광객 전용 플랫폼 ‘WOKA’를 운영하는 원더라운드와 전략적 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 10일 밝혔다. 원더라운드는 외국인 관광객에게 매장 위치, 상품 정보, 프로모션 등 여행에 필요한 다양한 콘텐츠를 제공하고, 국내 가맹점에서의 결제 및 ATM 출금이 가능한 선불카드 서비스를 제공하는 종합 여행 플랫폼 기업이다. 우리은행은 이번 협약을 통해 향후 2년간 WOKA 플랫폼과 연계해 외국인 관광객에게 특화된 금융 서비스를 제공한다. 구체적으로는 △환율 우대 환전 △원화 출금 △선불카드 충전 등 금융 기능을 하나의 시스템 내에서 간편하게 이용할 수 있도록 했다. 특히 ATM 기반 출금 서비스와 선불카드를 활용한 오프라인 결제 기능은 관광객의 소비 편의성을 높이고 국내 체류 동안의 여행 만족도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

경기도, 전국 최초 이민자 사회통합 실태조사 추진
뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | 경기도는 도내 거주 이민자들의 실태를 파악해 맞춤형 사회통합정책을 수립하기 위해 전국 지방자치단체 최초로 ‘이민자 사회통합 실태조사’를 실시한다고 12일 밝혔다. 지난해 기준 도내 외국인주민 수는 80만9천801명으로 전국에서 가장 많다. 하지만, 이민자 사회통합 정책은 지역별·분야별로 다르게 운영되고 있어 실효성 있는 정책 마련이 필요한 상황이다. 이에 경기도는 이민자의 생활 여건, 고용, 교육, 사회참여 등을 종합적으로 조사하고 경기도형 사회통합 정책을 수립할 계획이다. 조사는 경기도 권역별 거주 외국인주민 500명 이상을 대상한다. 이들을 대상으로 △사회통합 수준 △이민자의 한국 생활에서의 어려움 △정책 인지도 및 서비스 이용 경험 △필요한 지원 정책 등 다양한 영역을 포괄한다. 특히 의사소통, 안전, 노동, 교육, 주거, 보건복지, 사회 기여도 등 주요 항목을 집중 분석해 정책 기초자료로 활용할 뿐만 아니라, 조사 결과를 31개 시군에 공유해 경기도 사회통합 정책 발전에 기여할 방침이다. 경기도는 이달 중 조사표를 개발한 뒤 올해 하반기까지 실태조사와 정책개발을 완료하고, 관련 기관 및 전문가와의 협력을 통해 지속 가능한 사

뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | 경기도에서 위탁운영 중인 경기도외국인인권지원센터가 이주민 지원체계 구축을 위해 경기도외국인복지센터장협의회, 경기지역다문화가족지원센터와 업무협약을 체결했다고 7일 밝혔다. 경기도외국인인권지원센터는 외국인 주민의 권리구제, 권익 증진, 정책개발, 네트워크 활성화 등 4개 분야를 중점으로 다양한 사업을 추진하는 기관이다. 이번 협약에 참여하는 ‘경기도외국인복지센터장협의회’는 용인시 등 9개 지자체에서 운영하는 외국인주민 복지 관련 지원센터가 모여 만든 협의체다. 외국인복지센터장협의회는 외국인 주민의 정착을 돕기 위해 의료지원, 생활상담, 인재 양성 등 정책을 개발하고 지원한다. ‘경기지역다문화가족지원센터’는 결혼이민자와 다문화가족의 안정적인 정착과 사회 적응을 위해 교육, 상담, 취업지원, 자녀교육, 문화프로그램을 지원하는 기관이다. 도내 총 4개소가 운영되고 있다. 그간 이주민 지원 업무는 기관마다 개별적으로 운영돼 효과적인 대응에 한계가 있었다. 이번 협약은 이러한 기존 시스템의 한계를 극복하고, 이주민들의 다양하고 복합적인 요구에 종합적으로 대응하기 위해 마련됐다. 주요 협력 영역은 ▲상담 네트워크 구축 및 공동 시책 개발 ▲종사자

GS25, 점포 내·외부 설치 가능한 ‘더즌 환전 키오스크’로 외국인 고객 환전 서비스 강화

GS25는 지난 2023년부터 외국인 금융 서비스를 강화해 △환전 서비스 △부가세 즉시 환급 서비스(Tax Refund) △외환 결제 서비스 △외국인 결제 수단 프로모션 운영 등을 운영하고 있다. 한국관광공사에 따르면 지난해 방한 외국인 규모는 1637만 명으로 전년 대비 48.4% 증가해 한국을 찾는 외국인 관광객 수가 코로나 이전 수준을 회복한 것으로 보고 있다. 이에 K-편의점을 찾아 각종 금융 서비스를 이용하는 외국인 고객도 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 실제로 GS25의 2024년 환전 서비스 이용객 수는 전년 대비 18배 증가했으며, 2024년 텍스리펀드 이용률은 전년 대비 935% 신장했다. 알리페이 및 위챗페이 등 외국인 결제 수단 이용 건수도 지난해 대비 2024년 126.7% 상승했다. 또한, 외국인 결제 수단 매출이 가장 높은 점포는 ‘GS25 뉴안녕인사동점’으로 나타났다. 이에 GS25는 올해 신규 환전 키오스크 도입을 통해 GS25만의 차별화된 외국인 금융 서비스를 강화한다는 방침

BNK 부산은행, 삼성화재와 ‘외국인 근로자 출국만기보험금’ 서비스 업무 협약
뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | BNK부산은행(은행장·방성빈)은 7일 본점에서 삼성화재와 협약식을 갖고 김해국제공항 지점 및 환전소에서 외국인 근로자를 위한 출국만기보험 지급 서비스를 3월 4일부터 시행한다고 밝혔다. ‘외국인 근로자 출국 만기보험’은 외국인 근로자의 퇴직금 보장을 위해 만들어진 보험으로, ‘외국인 근로자의 고용 등에 관한 법률’에 따라 외국인 근로자를 고용한 사업자는 의무적으로 가입해야 한다. 출국만기보험(퇴직금)은 공항에서 직접 수령하거나 출국 후 14일 이내에 외국인 근로자 본인의 해외 계좌로 송금해 받을 수 있다. 이번 서비스의 시행으로 그동안 부·울·경 지역 외국인 근로자들이 ‘외국인 근로자 출국만기보험(퇴직금)’ 수령을 위해 불가피하게 인천국제공항을 이용해야 했던 불편함이 해소될 것으로 보인다. 부산은행은 외국인 근로자가 공항에서 원활하게 출국만기보험금(퇴직금)을 수령할 수 있도록 김해국제공항지점과 환전소 내 전담 창구를 운영하는 등 적극적으로 지원할 예정이다. 웹사이트: https://www.busanbank.co.kr
