Meeting of pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping
Newsnomics AJAY ANGELINA Reporter | Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing at the People’s Great Hall of China on Nov 02.
They discussed broad-based cooperation in economy and investment besides exchanging views on regional
and global developments. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping have agreed to strengthen multilateral cooperation in diverse areas, including the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and strategic partnership.
“The two countries have all along stood with each other through thick and thin. No matter how the international situation evolves, China and Pakistan are always each other’s trustworthy strategic partners,” President Xi
Jinping said.
Before departing for Beijing on November 1, the premier said, “the second phase of CPEC is expected to
usher in a new era of socioeconomic development that will improve the standard of living for our people.
There is a lot to learn from the Chinese economic miracle.” Added
"At a time when the world is going through with multiple challenges, Pakistan and China stand together as friends and partners,"
