뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | 준정부기관인 코이카(KOICA·한국국제협력단)가 공공 영역에서는 선도적으로 인공지능(AI) 도입에 속도를 내고 있어 주목된다. 코이카는 챗봇(Chatbot) 등을 활용해 일상적인 업무를 효율화하는 것은 물론 국제회의 진행, 나아가 해외 원조 사업의 추진과 관리에 이르기까지 공적개발원조(ODA)* 관련 업무 전반에 AI 기술을 적용, 업무혁신을 도모하고 있다. 올 초 코이카는 AI 도입을 통한 디지털 전환(Digital Transformation)을 속도감 있게 추진하기 위해 ‘코이카 인공지능 도입 기본계획(2024~2026)’을 수립했다. 이어, AI 도입 실행 과제 도출 및 추진, 강연 및 교육을 통한 임직원 역량 강화, 업무개선 아이디어 모집 등을 통한 AI 조직 문화 확산 등 여러 차원에서 전사적으로 ‘AI 퍼스트’ 기조를 확산해 가고 있다.
