국제 씨티재단과 유엔개발계획, 방콕에서 ‘2023 유스 코랩 서밋’ 개최…사회혁신 지원 논의

뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | 한국씨티은행(은행장·유명순)의 씨티재단(Citi Foundation)과 유엔개발계획(United Nations Development Programme·UNDP)은 지난 12일부터 14일까지 태국 방콕에서 ‘2023 유스 코랩 서밋(Youth CO:Lab Summit)’을 공동 개최했다고 17일 밝혔다. 이번 서밋 공동 행사에는 아시아 태평양 지역의 주요 정부 관료과 민간 부문 참가자 및 투자자, 학계, 청년 리더 등 다양한 이해관계자들이 참가해 사회혁신을 위한 청년층 및 사회적 기업가 지원 방안 등에 대해 토론하는 시간을 가졌다. 한국은 한국씨티은행 외에 유엔개발계획 서울정책센터, 사회적 기업 인메딕(INMEDIC)이 참여했다. 인메딕은 한국 거주 외국인들을 대상으로 한 통합 의료지원 서비스를 개발하고 있다. 씨티재단과 유엔개발계획이 지난 2017년 공동 설립한 유스 코랩은 지속가능개발목표(SDGs)를 실행하기 위해 청년 주도의 사회적 기업을 지원하는 프로젝트다. 특히 아시아 태평양 지역 청년층에 대한 투자를 확대하고자 기획됐다. 한국에서는 지난 2018년부터 한국씨티은행과 씨티재단, 유엔개발계획 서울정책센터가 함께 국내외 사회적
